Have your say! Gorgie/Dalry survey of local Older People’s
opinion on setting up a local forum for Older People to help
make changes you think are important to you
Through the many surveys conducted by the Council and the
evaluation of Edinburgh’s plan for older people, we know that
older people have particular concerns about...
transport,
local environment,
safety in the home and community,
health and social care services
access to local opportunities and
facilities.
However, we would be keen to know what your
particular views are on these topics for the Gorgie/Dalry area,
so that we can arrange a public meeting with relevant speakers.
We also want to know whether you would find attending a local
forum for older people to be a useful way to ensure that the
Council, the NHS and other organisations that provide services
and facilities, hear the voice of older people.
Two public meetings were held to bring local older people
together to discus the launch of the action group.
