The Treasure Trove is a charitable
organisation situated at 23a Castle Street, Edinburgh, which
is literally a treasure trove. Within this very special shop
goods are sold by the working members of the Royal Edinburgh Repository &
Self Aid Society (a Scottish charity SCO 06702)

Everything is made by the working members of
the society and there is a wide and varied selection of
items, which include – home made preserves, tablet and other
confectionary, hand made toys, jewellery and knitted
articles as well as a wide selection of greetings cards.
The Treasure Trove is well worth a visit if only to admire
the exquisite work on show. One garment in particular caught
the eye of the Surfers – a beautiful christening robe
knitted in one ply wool which no doubt will become a family
heirloom. Goods can also be made to order from your own
pattern or using your own material
This delightful shop is well worth a visit and a browse
around as the selection is very varied. A big thank you to
all the staff who made the Surfers last visit a pleasure.
