We are sure everyone in the Gorgie Dalry area of Edinburgh has been very disappointed at the closure of ‘our’ Gazette.

For over 25 years the local newspaper has been an invaluable source of information on every aspect of life in Gorgie/Dalry. We cannot visualise being without this wee paper. Where else would we find details of what is happening in our community… what is happening in Gorgie Farm.. and the events in St.Bride’s Community Centre (for example).

All the area’s local Councillors and MSPs – especially Sarah Boyack - used the Gazette to keep us informed on local issues and Alistair Darling, the Chancellor of the Exchequer who is also our local M.P. contributed a regular column about what was happening at Westminster!

We wish Bryan Montgomery (Editor) and Elaine Brand (Gazette Admin) all the very best for the future and hope they keep in touch!
