On Tuesday 11th September ACE IT
held an information day at Alexander Graham Bell House at the
invitation of the Age And Disability Action team of BT.
The staff were asked to bring along their parents and any older
members of the family who might be interested in learning about
computers and the internet.

The Surfers were on hand to
give advice and were based in the café area where those interested
were able to stop by for a chat and to learn more about what we do.
The event was part of the annual Silver Surfers Festival week hosted
nationally by Age Concern and supported by BT. A number of people
gave their names to be added to the ACE IT waiting list for their
ten week training course on basic computing and use of the internet.
The day was a great success and getting out and about in the
community is something we all enjoy.

Our thanks to Kenny Arthur and
the Age And Disability Action team of BT for the lovely day out and
an excellent lunch, morning coffee which was much appreciated.
